We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our services:
- Account information — your name and email address, collected when you purchase a CyberSage subscription via Paystack.
- Payment information — payment processing is handled entirely by Paystack. BytesLed does not store your card details. We receive a confirmation notification from Paystack once payment is completed.
- Technical data — when the CyberSage Agent is installed, it sends your machine hostname, a machine fingerprint (a non-reversible hash derived from hardware identifiers), and the agent software version to our API for licence validation. No personal files or content from your server are transmitted.
- Contact enquiries — if you email us at solutions@bytesled.com, we will use your contact details to respond to your enquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provision and manage your CyberSage subscription
- Send transactional emails (payment confirmation, setup instructions, renewal reminders)
- Validate agent licence status to ensure only active subscribers can use the software
- Respond to support and sales enquiries
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Access to customer data is restricted to authorised BytesLed personnel only. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your personal data:
- Paystack — payment processing. Your payment details are governed by Paystack's Privacy Policy.
- Email delivery provider — used to send transactional emails such as purchase confirmations and setup instructions. Email addresses are shared only for the purpose of delivery.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a period of 3 years thereafter for accounting and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
7. Cookies
The BytesLed website (bytesled.com) does not use cookies or any client-side tracking technologies. No analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or session cookies are loaded.
